2. Apple aims to replace chips manufactured by Broadcom and Qualcomm for its devices with in-house semiconductors by 2025.

3. New Facebook and Instagram policies will bar advertisers from delivering targeted ads to teens based on their gender and online activity.

4. OpenAI publicly discussed this week the possibility of monetizing its ChatGPT chatbot, citing the need for revenue to ensure its long-term viability.

3. Cyberattacks increased 20 per cent in Canada since last year.

4. Montréal payment tech company Nuvei buys US competitor Paya Holdings for US$1.3 billion to fuel expansion and grow its footprint in the B2B market. 

5. Toronto-based AI-focused venture capital firm Radical Ventures plans to raise US$550 million to back more startups, as interest in the technology heats up.

6. Coinsquare and Kevin O’Leary’s WonderFi are reportedly in advanced talks to join forces and create Canada’s largest crypto exchange.
